われわれ厚生労働省もやもや病研究班は、昨今のもやもや病の疾患概念や診断法の変化に応じて、2015年以来、その診断基準を7年ぶりに改訂しました。しかし、前回2015年の診断基準の英語版が出版されていなかったため、このほど、もやもや病の基礎研究や臨床に携わる世界中の医師や研究者たちと最新の情報を共有することを目的に、2015/2021年の改訂内容をまとめて英語版として出版しました。

Revision 2021 of Diagnostic Criteria for Moyamoya Disease
In response to recent changes in the concept and diagnosis of moyamoya disease, we, the Research Committee on Moyamoya Disease have revised the diagnostic criteria for moyamoya disease for the first time in seven years, since 2015. However, since the English version of the previous 2015 diagnostic criteria had not been published, we have recently combined the 2015/2021 revisions into an English version to share the latest information with physicians and researchers around the world involved in basic and clinical research on moyamoya disease.
