当科の研修医・城 泰輔先生が執筆した症例報告がChild’s Nervous SYstem誌に掲載されました。小児期に実施した脳室-腹腔短絡術（VPシャント術）の腹部に遺残したチューブが大腸を穿孔した、稀な合併症を報告させていただきました。准教授の赤井卓也先生が熱心に指導してくれたおかげで掲載に到りました。これからも患者さん一人一人を診る際には常に疑問を持って解決していく姿勢を維持してほしいと願っています。

A case report written by Dr. Taisuke Shiro, a resident of our department, has been published in Child’s Nervous SYstem. He reported a rare complication in which a tube left in the abdomen from a ventriculo-peritoneal shunt procedure (VP shunt procedure) performed in childhood perforated the colon. This article was published thanks to the enthusiastic guidance of Associate Professor Takuya Akai. We hope that he will continue to maintain an open attitude to always ask questions and solve problems when treating each patient.
