The cherry blossoms are blooming early this year. This April, we Department of Neurosurgery at University of Toyama welcomed a new fiscal year. We started with a commemorative photo session.
This spring, Professor Naoya Kuwayama, who has played an outstanding role since the early days of endovascular treatment in Japan, completed his 36 years of professional service at our university, which was a major milestone for us as well. On the other hand, we are very excited and hopeful that two young residents who are eager to become neurosurgeons have joined our team.
We have already performed more than 100 surgeries and endovascular treatments in the three months from January to March at a pace higher than usual. We will continue to work together as a team to provide the best medical care, education, and research while maintaining the same level of attention to detail as before.
I look forward to working with you!
