われわれ富山大学脳神経外科は1980年4月1日、その産声をあげました。昨年2020年4月1日に開講40周年を迎えましたが、日本を席巻し始めたCOVID-19 outbreakのため、すべての記念事業は今年まで延期しました。現時点でもCOVID-19が収まりつつあるとはとても言えない状況ですが、この一年間の経験を通して、われわれもこの状況をなんとか安全に生き抜く知恵も身につけつつあります。そこで、まず記念事業のファーストステップとして「富山大学脳神経外科開講40周年記念誌」の発刊準備を進めています。学内外の数多くの皆様にご執筆いただいた原稿を用いて、現在、遠藤俊郎先生とともに鋭意編纂中です。まもなく皆様のお手元にお届けできると思います。お手元に届きましたらご高覧いただけますと幸いです。

40th Anniversary of Department of Neurosurgery, University of Toyama
The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Toyama was born on April 1, 1980. Last year, on April 1, 2020, we reached our 40th anniversary, but due to the COVID-19 outbreak that has begun to sweep Japan, all commemorative projects have been postponed until this year. Even now, it is hard to say that the COVID-19 outbreak is under control, but through the experience of the past year, we are learning how to survive this situation safely. Therefore, as the first step of our commemorative project, we are preparing to publish the “40th Anniversary of the University of Toyama Neurosurgery” memorial bulletin. I am currently working with Prof. Shunro Endo to compile the book using manuscripts written by many people inside and outside the university. We hope to be able to deliver it to you very soon. We hope you will enjoy it when you receive it.
