過日、われわれ脳神経外科で7週間にわたる選択長期臨床実習をこなしている6年生の古賀くんを労う食事会を開催した。
彼は、将来、世界で活躍できる脳神経外科医を目指して、毎日、どのドクターよりも遅くまで勉強し、見学した手術の全てを手術記録としてまとめ、バイパス手術のトレーニングを繰り返し、さらに論文を執筆中である。これだけ燃え上がるような志を胸に秘め、たゆまぬ努力を惜しまない学生を見たことはない。

The Long & Winding Road To Be A Neurosurgeon Vol. 48
Now, we have one medical student for 7-week clinical clerkship. He is very keen to be a neurosurgeon who globally acts. He is studying a lot every night, summarizing the findings of all of surgeries, repeating the simulation of bypass surgery under microscope, and writing a English-written case report.
We strongly hope to work with him in very near future.
