2016年4月9日（土）、富山国際会議場にて開催した第90回日本脳神経外科学会・中部支部会にて、男女共同参画検討シンポジウムを初めて開催させていただきました。日本脳神経外科学会・男女共同参画検討委員会との共催です。
まずは、前委員長の渋井壮一郎教授（帝京大学）をお招きして、最近実施した全国アンケート調査の結果に基づいて「女性脳神経外科医師の職場環境の現状」についてご講演いただきました。わが国の脳神経外科における現状と問題点を浮き彫りにして、今後の課題を整理した素晴らしいご講演でした。次いで、夫婦で脳神経外科医として働いている小林 徹・理奈先生を北海道からお招きして、お二人のこれまでの脳神経外科医としての歩み、産休からの復職、仕事やプライベートでの現状や課題、解決策などについて詳しくご紹介いただきました。中部支部では初めての試みでしたが、この地区に勤務されている女性の先生方にとっても大変参考になったと考えています。
Special Symposium on Gender Equality in Neurosurgery
We organized the Special Symposium on Gender Equality in Neurosurgery at the 90th. Meeting of Japan Neurosurgical Society, Chubu Branch in Toyama on April 9, 2016. Prof. Shibui from Teikyo University talked on the current status and perspective of female neurosurgeons in Japan on the basis of recent nation-wide questionnaire survey conducted by the Committee of Gender Equality in Japan Neurosurgical Society. In addition, we invited Drs. Tohru and Rina Kobayashi from Asahikawa Red Cross Hospital, because they are married couple and both are working as neurosurgeons. They talked on their 20-year career and history as neurosurgeons.
