2020年1月8-10日、スイス・チューリッヒ大学病院にて、Bypass 2020 – 50周年記念シンポジウムが開催されました。1967年10月にYasargil教授が世界で初めて頭蓋外-頭蓋内バイパス術を実施して50（＋3）年経ったことを記念したものです。チューリッヒ大学のRegli教授、Esposito教授による運営は素晴らしく、世界中から300名あまりの参加がありました。Yasargil教授もイスタンブールからインターネットを介して1時間に及ぶレクチャーをしてくれました。3日間ずいぶんと熱いディスカッションが繰り広げられ、次の仕事のインスピレーションを得るとともに、たくさんの勇気をもらうことができました。
富山大学からは、黒田が以下の2つのレクチャーを担当しました。
1）頭蓋外-頭蓋内バイパス術の歴史〜日本からの視点
2）もやもや病に対するバイパス術の5〜20年にわたる長期予後
また、堀 恵美子、山本修輔、白石啓太朗もそれぞれ以下の一般発表をしました。
1）堀：頭蓋外-頭蓋内バイパス術のリアルワールド
2）山本：低位を走行する浅側頭動脈を用いたバイパス術の工夫
3）白石：もやもや病に対するSTA-ACAバイパス術
Bypass 2020 - The 50th. Anniversary Symposium
We are very proud to join this memorial symposium in Zürich, Switzerland on January 8-10, 2020. We are really encouraged there by sharing the novel and exciting information on bypass surgery.
We Toyama team presented totally 5 papers. Prof. Kuroda gave two lectures entitled, “History of Bypass Surgery – the Japanese View” and “Long-term (5-20 years) Outcome after Bypass for Moyamoya”. Dr. Emiko Hori presented clinical results of bypass surgery in the real world, based on our Toyama experience. Dr. Shusuke Yamamoto presented how to avoid the facial nerve palsy after bypass surgery in case with the caudally coursing STA frontal branch. Dr. Keitaro Shiraishi presented surgical technique of additional STA-ACA anastomosis for moyamoya patients.
