昨年、もやもや病の新たな画像診断法として「3D-CISS」について報告させていただきましたが、今回、当科の研修医・山本修輔先生が書いた「類もやもや病における3D-CISSの所見」と題する論文が英文誌「Journal of Stroke and Cerebrovascular DIseasess; JSCVD」に掲載されました。これまでは類もやもや病があたかも単一の疾患概念のように論じられてきましたが、全く異なる疾患群が混在している可能性を初めて指摘させていただきました。山本修輔先生はまだ卒後4年目の研修医ですが、これが英文論文4編めとなります。日々の臨床修練とともに神経科学を究めるため、毎日大車輪で活躍してくれています。これからますます頑張ってほしいですね！

Our resident, Dr. Shusuke Yamamoto has now published his original paper entitled “Is Quasi-moyamoya Disease a Uniform Disease Entity? A Three-DImensional Constructive Interference in Steady State Imaging Study” in Journal of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases. Based on 3D-CISS imaging, quasi-moyamoya disease or moyamoya syndrome should be divided into two different disease entities. A certain subgroup of MMD patients may be misdiagnosed as quasi-MMD because of the patients’ comorbid disorders and mixed up with the patients who present angiographic findings similar to MMD in spite of the lack of arterial shrinkage.
