2021年10月27〜30日、山梨大学の木内博之教授が会長を務められて、第80回日本脳神経外科学会学術総会が開催されました。メインテーマである「科学の追求と実践知の涵養」の精神が貫かれた素晴らしい学会でした。COVID-19 outbreakの第5波がなぜか急速に収束してくれたおかげで、久し振りにon-siteで参加できた学会でした。皆さんが異口同音におっしゃっているように、今回は従来のスタイルの学会の長所をあらためて実感させられました。当科からは以下のタイトルで発表させていただきました。

The 80th. Annual Meeting of the Japan Neurosurgical Society in Yokohama
The 80th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Neurosurgical Society was held on October 27-30, 2021, chaired by Professor Hiroyuki Kiuchi of the University of Yamanashi. It was a wonderful conference that embraced the spirit of the main theme, “Pursue Science and Cultivate Phronesis,” and I was able to participate in the conference onsite for the first time in a long time, thanks to the fact that the 5th wave of the COVID-19 outbreak has somehow been rapidly resolved. As everyone said in unison, this conference made me realize again the advantages of a traditional style conference. From our department, we gave a total of 8 presentations, including 3 symposiums, 3 oral presentations, and 2 poster presentations.
