2015年3月2日〜4日、シンガポールにて開催された第一回Brain Stiumulation Conferenceに当科の黒田、柏崎が参加してきました。黒田は、脳卒中後の中枢性疼痛に対する運動野刺激療法の効果について発表させていただきました。
今回初めてとなる本学会では、世界中から著名な研究者が一堂に会して、大脳に対する電気、磁気など種々の刺激療法に関する基礎および臨床の研究成果が多数発表されていました。その対象疾患もパーキンソン病や脳卒中に留まらず、精神疾患や認知症など、実に多岐にわたる疾患がとりあげられており、とても大きな刺激を受けて帰国した次第です。
1st. Brain Stimulation Conference in Singapore
We attended 1st. Brain Stimulation Conference in Singapore between March 2 and 4, 2015. Kuroda et al. from our department reviewed their clinical results of motor cortex stimulation for patients with post-stroke pain. Future development of brain stimulation seems to be promising because of the passions and efforts by scientists and clinicians all over the world.
