われわれ富山大学脳神経外科は1980年4月1日、その産声をあげました。昨年2020年4月1日に開講40周年を迎えましたが、日本を席巻し始めたCOVID-19 outbreakのため、すべての記念事業は今年まで延期しました。現時点でもCOVID-19が収まりつつあるとはとても言えない状況ですが、この一年間の経験を通して、われわれもこの状況をなんとか安全に生き抜く知恵も身につけつつあります。そこで、まず記念事業のファーストステップとして、かねてお知らせしていた通り「富山大学脳神経外科開講40周年記念誌」を発刊しました。学内外の数多くの皆様にご執筆いただき、ありがとうございました。

The 40th Anniversary Book of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Toyama is published!
We, the Department of Neurosurgery, University of Toyama, were born on April 1, 1980. Last year, on April 1, 2020, we celebrated our 40th anniversary, but due to the COVID-19 outbreak that has begun to sweep Japan, all memorial projects have been postponed until this year. Even now, it is hard to say that the COVID-19 outbreak is under control, but through the experience of the past year, we are learning how to survive this situation safely. As the first step of our memorial project, we have now published the “40th Anniversary Book of the Department of Neurosurgery, University of Toyama” as we have been announcing before. We would like to express our gratitude to the many people both inside and outside the university who have contributed to this publication.
