本年8月25日〜9月7日、インド・ニューデリーにあるAll India Institute of Medical Sciencesから、Dr. Pankaj Singh, Dr. Satish Verma, Dr. Nityanand Pandeyの3名の脳神経外科医が、われわれ日本脳卒中の外科学会がスタートさせた国際的教育コースJ-MOVA Projectを利用して、富山大学附属病院にバイパス手術の勉強に来てくれました。この2週間、黒田が執刀した通常のSTA-MCAバイパス手術、もやもや病に対するSTA-MCA+EDMAPS手術、repeat bypass手術、側頭葉てんかんの焦点切除術、脳動脈瘤頚部クリッピング術など、7件の手術を見学してもらいました。そのほかにも歓迎会、カンファランス、日常のディスカッションを通じて、お互いの社会、医療、手術など多岐にわたって理解と学習を深めることができました。彼らのますますの発展と将来に続く交流を祈念しております！

Learning Surgery for Moyamoya Disease_Pt. 6
For these two weeks, 3 neurosurgeons, Dr. Pankaj Singh, Dr. Satish Verma, Dr. Nityanand Pandey, have visited our hospital to learn bypass surgery from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. They were supported by J-MOVA (Japan Microvascular Anastomosis Training Course) Project conducted by our Japanese Society on Surgery for Cerebral Stroke. I could show them my surgical procedures, including STA-MCA anastomosis, STA-MCA anastomosis and EDMAPS for moyamoya disease, repeat bypass surgery for moyamoya disease, anteromedial temporal lobectomy for intractable temporal lobe epilepsy, clipping for short M1 aneurysm, clipping for A4-A5 aneurysm. Simultaneously, we could discuss a lot on our society, medical practice, research works, karaoke, and so on. I strongly hope that we could contribute to their future advancement in neurosurgical practice.
